Arnold Palmer vs. Jack Nicklaus: The Drink

As you would've seen in my last post, I have been knocking back the Arnold Palmers in honor of this year's Masters Tournament. Not one to ever come in anything but first, Jack Nicklaus has his own take on Palmer's beverage. It's an age-old question: Who is better: Arnold or Jack? And I mean to get to the bottom of it.

Now, there is a slight difference between the two drinks. Arnold's favorite is known to be precisely half iced tea and half lemonade (although your alcoholic input is always bound to throw off the proportions). The Golden Bear's version is essentially lemonade, but with a bit of mangoInteresting.
This is, of course, my own take on Palmer's drink (as I explained in yesterday's post) ... but it's essentially the same. (I've had both — they're nearly identical.)
Full disclosure, they are both absolutely delicious. I don't know if you can neccessarily say one is better than the other, but they're definitely different. If you like the classic version, Arnold is the way to go. On the other hand, Nicklaus' Golden Bear has a little bit more of a stronger taste. You can definitely tell he's mixes it up with the insertion of mango.
Maybe I'd go ahead and give an A+ to Palmer, while giving Nicklaus an A (based mostly on the fact that Palmer's version is the classic), but I can definitely see Jack making his push soon. Don't be surprised.
In the end, they are both amazing and you're going to enjoy either, no matter what. Just insert liquor, find yourself a stop in front of the television, and appreciate the glory that is Augusta.
